and now for something just a little different…
You can imagine my delight over this particular photo session. The soon-to-be models included one dog, three cats and one guinea pig. I was excited… and this small menagerie of pets quickly won my heart as I followed them about their yard, camera in hand.
The first was Harleigh, a senior feline who is obviously the “boss lady”. This blue eyed beauty had quite a lot to say. Turns out she is quite the talker, but not with the expected meowing tones .. no, more of a throaty rumbling dialogue. Harleigh, it turns out, is one chatty-catty.
Ty is the only gentleman of the group… a large handsome man-cat… mostly black with a few splashes of white and all personality.
Muffin is another senior gal who lately has had a few health issues. Happily she seems to be doing well, thanks to the good care given by her “mommy”. Such a sweet gal… she loved the camera and was always trotting jauntily towards me and the lens.
Skye is the canine of the group. She is a bright, happy girl who is very loving and protective towards her feline and piglet siblings. This was not Skye’s first photo shoot… more photos of beautiful Skye may be seen here.
And then there is Beaver… what a delight. This little darling is the first Guinea Pig I have ever photographed and I must admit to wondering just how this was going to go. Turns out little Beaver is a pro at working the camera. She is a star!
Thank you Lenora for this most wonderful experience. Your furkids are awesome!
Callia is an eight year old stocky bundle of sweetness. Her breed may be questionable but her cuteness factor is off the charts. Full of vim and vigor, she is a tough little munchkin who managed to keep her cool even with thunder rumblings in the distance.
Thank you Callia and Ashley for a most enjoyable walk through the winding paths of Little Mountain Dog Park.
Beau is a happy, bouncy Australian Shepherd cross and the lovely Miss Payton is a very pretty Collie mix… two rescue pups that have found the perfect forever family. Together they make up a lively, fun-packed duo.
Our session location was the park like entrance to the walking bridge that connects Portage Ave. to Assiniboine park. The time is Spring… and there is no better time!
Thank you Sarah, Mike, Payton and Beau… what a lovely way to spend a Sunday morn.
Bouncy, Black and Beautiful… that is what comes to mind when I think of Zoodle. This handsome boy is a gorgeous 11-month-old Standard Poodle who made my job behind the camera easy.
The morning still held some coolness… perfect for a game of fetch.
Thank you Sharon and Zoodle for a very enjoyable session. It was a pleasure meeting both of you.
