Meet Hayes… a very sweet, very happy 5 year old Terrier mix who, through no fault of his own, has found himself without a family. The kind hearts at Earthdog Terrier Rescue o Manitoba have taken him under their wing until the right home comes along.
I recently had the pleasure of spending time with some of my favourite people and dogs at an adoption event held by Earthdog Terrier Rescue of Manitoba. Here are some of the adoptables…
Would you believe Eugene is only 5 months old… he will be one big gorgeous boy when full-grown.
Fiona is one very loving, sweet gal… the ultimate cuddle bug.
Lacey is a fun-loving gal… she would do great with an active family and would love a canine playmate.
Pumpkin is an energetic guy who gets along with everyone… cats, kids, dogs.
Ava is a calm, mellow girl who is larger than she appears in the photos. She is about 50 pounds or more.
Some of these dogs are long-timers in the rescue. Having known them, I can’t help but wonder why. They are such good dogs and would make wonderful companions for the right families. If you would like more info on any of these dogs please contact Earthdog Terrier Rescue of Manitoba.
This past weekend I attended the Annual Howl-O-Ween Adoption Event hosted by Manitoba All Shepherd Rescue. Not only was it a fun time, but I got to meet and photograph some wonderful adoptable dogs… all hoping to find forever homes.
Here are their adorable faces:
Happy news…. Bauer is adoption pending
If you are finding that one of these dogs is giving that little extra tug on your heart-strings, please contact Manitoba All Shepherd Rescue for more information. All are great dogs in need of good homes.
Nora is a very sweet, active, happy 9 week old Great Dane mix who is looking for her forever home. She is currently under the care of Earthdog Terrier Rescue of Manitoba and is doing very well in her foster home.
Sweet Nora is a mix-breed Dane, not a purebred… but I thought this verse very cute. I have a feeling she will grow into it.
The Great Dane
Yes, it’s a Great Dane..
No, I don’t have a saddle for it.
Yes, it’s a house dog.
No, I don’t have a huge house.
Yes, it’s friendly.
No, it doesn’t eat that much.
I know it’s the biggest dog you ever seen.
It’s the biggest dog I’ve ever seen, too.
Miss Daisy is a most beautiful girl… a Shar Pei / Shepherd mix.
Found alone and homeless on the streets of Winnipeg she is now safe and waits for a new family at Winnipeg Animal Services.
But, the wait has been long.
Daisy first came into the shelter way back in April, almost three months ago. That is a long time for an active girl to have to wait and be patient. Daisy does have Entropion in both eyes which needs to be addressed but otherwise she is a healthy, sweet, friendly gal, who loves to play and loves being with people.
It is difficult to understand sometimes why certain dogs are passed on by. It certainly baffles us at the shelter in Daisy’s case. She is a most awesome dog who simply needs a home.
“All great friendships start with a paw-shake. Reach out.”
“Too cute for words”… that’s what jumps to mind when first seeing Aaron. I met up with this dapper little guy and his family at Maple Grove Dog Park here in The Peg. This was my first experience at this park and I fell in love with the many winding trails weaving in and out of the forest area. I also fell completely head over heels for this darling long haired Chi.
Aaron came to Cindy and Jeff as a foster but it was soon realized that they were indeed his forever family. This cutie has very poor vision and is hard of hearing, but one would never guess that by watching his antics. He is one happy, endearing little fellow who very much adores his “mommy” and “daddy”.
Thank you Cindy and Jeff… it was such a pleasure meeting and photographing this sweet little man.
Meet Serena, a twelve year old Cocker mix whose energetic happy nature belie her years. The venue for this photo session was the lovely St. Vital Park in Winnipeg. The day was perfect… sunny, warm, wrapped in all the good things that spring has to offer.
Such cuteness… I love how her grey fringed ears frame that sweet face.
Getting together with Cindy and Jeff is always a pleasure. This couple is amazing… their love for animals apparent in everything they do. Serena first entered their life as a rescue but now has permanent residence status in both their home and in their hearts.
